You don't always have to move all-in...

Life is always a gamble. Sometimes it doesn't matter if you win or lose, but it's about the thrill, the action and making sound choices in life. So far, great choices, average results (imagine 60/40 decisions with 40% results).

Love him or hate him, he got to #10

Love him or hate him, Phil Helmuth won his 10th WSOP bracelet yesterday in a $2,000 NLHE event. He had a commanding chip lead at the final table and the only other name I recognized yesterday was "Tony G," that annoying Aussie who can't shut his mouth. Alas, Tony was severely short stacked and busted out first at the televised final table.

The heads up match lasted just under an hour and can be found here. Phil is having an amazing series, as he's cashed 6 times already (he is at or near the lead in lifetime cashes) and has made three final tables so far.

I can't wait to hear what Gavin Smith says about him at the Circuit tomorrow.

There may be more interesting quotes on the ESPN coverage this year, like two of my favorites (paraphrased):

"I can dodge bullets, baby"

and

"If it wasn't for luck I'd be the best damn player in the world"
